Choosing a Starter
When you begin your quest in the Gym№8 Snowbelle Gym, you must first choose a Starter Pokémon. You may choose from Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. A wild Rowlet may be seen wandering the grassy region near Route 1 in Chapter 1: Melemele of the game. If you prefer the other two beginnings, just go to Hau’oli City and visit with Samson Oak, a professor who will provide you with one of the two other starters for free.
After selecting your starting Pokémon, you must ensure that it is well trained and ready for fight against Wulfric, the leader of Gym№8 Snowbelle. Iki Town

Because the Totem Pokémon is usually unique to each game, it’s a good idea to stock up on Potions, Revives, and other healing supplies.
Trainers that complete this Trial Garden will be awarded with TM21 – Rest as well as a Poké Ball holding a Totem-size Raticate or Pikachu depending on the version of the game they are playing.
Festival
The Festival is the fourth portion of the Brooklet Hill section of Melemele, Chapter 1. The Festival is a nightly event staged by the residents of Brooklet Hill.
